If there were to be a collection that speaks for itself, Alexander Wang just have to be the right candidate. From the untamed side-braided hair on the models, football clutch bags, earthy color palette, to the back-torn socks worn high-up covering the entire lower tights, it couldn’t get any more apparent that Alexander is bring his hip-girl to the fields towards a more athletic aesthetic.
Grey sweater cotton fabrics are clasped into every possible space of the show- which is commonsensical since sportswear is what Alexander illustrates coming spring. But not a single cotton piece emanates lumpiness or chunkiness; the execution was smart and accurate, looking warm and comfortable. The fabric was featured in numerous ways; on the sleeves of a structured khaki jacket, wholesomely for dresses with shoulders that were tailored round- giving the silhouette of an American football, as well as underwear with hip “wings” that was worn up-waist underneath brown and grey pants with patchworks of more cotton at the hems.
Furthermore what seems to be integrated from the resort collection are the cutout knitwear, only this time with red bold strips (which better translate the American sports theme), while stretching down the back longer than the front one look has the front cropped up till the ribs for an exposed midriff.
Extensively exploring the use of different fabrics, the designer sent down grey suede ponchos, caramel and black leather shorts in quilted textures, and black sheer dresses with cutouts on the cleavage and midriff. Towards the closing of the show, the designer continues to broaden his already rich-in-fabric-range collection further by adding furs across sheer dresses of black and white.
It may seem like a sporty collection that was literal in everyway, which would have left us with no more room for the imagination. But nonetheless, not only did Alexander Wang once again delivered a show that transmits sensuality and femininity, but also a great deal of the usual coolness and heftiness.

Hi – very good website you have established. I enjoyed reading this posting. I did want to write a comment to tell you that the design of this site is very aesthetically pleasing. I used to be a graphic designer, now I am a copy editor in chief for a merchandising firm. I have always enjoyed functioning with information processing systems and am trying to learn code in my spare time (which there is never enough of lol).
