Back in March, Tommy Ton, streetstyle photographer and creator behind the much adored fashion website and blog, Jak & Jil, was the talk of the town for his collaboration work with luxury retailer, Lane Crawford. Not only does he lend his expertise to guest blog on their website during the frenzied Fashion Week, he was also the brains behind their edgy Spring/Summer 09 ad campaign.

Tommy Ton has come a long way; he has shot and interviewed numerous from the apex of the fashion globe: world’s most celebrated editors, designers, stylists, buyers and models. His signature horizontal style-motion shots and shoe close-ups against the backdrop of the beautiful Parisian streets are his best attributes; absolutely distinct and captivating, making people immediate fans of his blog.

With the high roads paving way, Tommy didn’t just stop there. He just revealed the imageries via his blog on his first solo exhibition months back at the Hong Kong flagship in conjunction to the ad campaign he did for Lane Crawford. It was an ample and elegant space, with a beautiful coordination between Tommy’s best photos and the store’s merchandise. From his carefully mounted works on the white-washed walls to the to-die-for shoe installation, everything screams brilliance. This is such a well deserving accomplishment and we would look forward to greater things for him in the future.
