The narrative voice of “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life” echoed in the background as models walked out of the show. The make up was light, the hair was underdone – only ponytails presented. The clothes, from jumpsuits to two-pieced suits, were kept short with sharp tailoring, stylized with leather boots to create a futuristic sportive vibe. At some moments in the midst of black, pink drapes and grey emerged along with a mass of plaid toward the finale, only to vary the sleek and clean looks of Jil Sander’s Fall Winter 2010 collection.

  1. The boots were perfect, just the right height at the calf and had the perfect toe.

I’m very excited to see such a strong showing of plaid/tweed. And can we mention the quilted dress? Ingenious! The incorporation of heavier fabrics with large designs into the Jil Sander vernacular aligns the brand with the trend towards elaborate prints. And I appreciate how the plaid is utilized in conjunction with the cut of the garments.

    Raf doesn’t fail to please!
